Chevy Volt nirvana? Free electric cars and free parking in Copenhagen
By Jeff Kart | The Bay City Times

The Danish government has a program that offers $40,000 (forty thousand dollar) tax breaks for people who buy electric cars.

With the Chevy Volt rumored to cost around $40,000, that's basically a free car (for instance). And ... the tax break comes with free parking in downtown Copenhagen, according to The New York Times.

Denmark is being wired right now with electric charging poles and service stations that can swap out low batteries in minutes.

World leaders are on the way to Copenhagen, meanwhile, for the United Nations climate summit, which starts Monday.

That's to me is an example of a government intent on creating change through policy. They seem to be taking this seriously, unlike over here.
