The NTU Solar Car Racing Team is composed of undergraduate students from the
School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) and the School of
Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of the Nanyang Technological
University in Singapore. Work started in 2006 when a group of final year
students approached the MAE with the intention to compete in the World Solar
Challenge race. The design and development of the Nanyang Venture II as the
solar car is named continued with successive batches of students. This
year, the dedication and concentrated efforts of the current team finally
paid off when solar car took shape and competing became a reality.

The McMaster Solar Car Project is a student run team from McMaster
University in Hamilton Ontario, Canada. Phoenix II, the team’s fourth
generation solar vehicle will be our first entry into the World Solar
Challenge and the team is exciting about the opportunity to represent
Canada and McMaster University on such a large international stage.
The team prides itself on its core principles; pushing innovative
engineering designs, growing public awareness and education of green
energy and renewable energy sources through community outreach
programs. Taking a hands-on approach, the McMaster Solar Car Project
is always ready to take on a new challenge and push their limits.
Having had successful finishes in North American Solar Car racing, the
team from McMaster is looking forward to the challenges that the race
through the Outback promises.
