Default Flex Fuel converson?... on a 64' Suburban?

well this isn't really a post about hybrids, but i couldn't find anywhere else to ask my question so here it goes.
i got an invite to these forums from a motor bicycling forum, and i just spent all weekend at a car show in St Ignace MI. Upon returning home seing my old 1964 chevrolet suburban siting like a lump in my side yard, it made me want to get her around and spiffed up so i can take it there next year. well i guess my question is can anyone help get some information on how to convert my old chevy to run ethanol. i know its possible and as far as my knowlege on the subject goes it's as simple as doing some carb work. but any info i get will be helpful. or is anyone out there has any other ideas to make my old beast a little more enviormently friendly without killing my wallet. as far as the motor goes it currently has is the original 250 straight six, it still runs like a champ but also drinks like one. my goal used to be to rip out the small engine and put in a big block chevy. but with the economy the way it is, restoring an old truck to get less gas milage than it already gets doesn't make sense... so ANY help would be appreciated, and good luck on these new forums, it seems like a great idea.

Default

yeah thanks for the info, i have done a little more research and found out that i am going to have to replace my 1bbl carb, with a 2bbl so i can get a proper e85 converson kit. and further reading leads me to belive it is good to change out any seals bushings ect. that will get in contact with the ethanol with something more resistant... such as urithane is what i been told. so it may be more work than i first thought, but i was going to pull out the engine so i could work on the valves/head so i can stop adding lead additive and run unleaded anyways... so i guess i'll keep doing more research. thanks again
