Default Hello from a pennsylvania hillbilly

I just crossed over from the Sportster forum. I live in the woods on the same hill my family has lived on since 1830. I'm in the middle of building a small, off grid, log cabin. So far my lights include an oil lamp and an LED lantern so I have a ways to go but very little money to do it with. I'm planning limited power using solar panels, a wind turbine and batteries just enough power for running water, lights and a radio. I just picked up a great old Fisher wood stove for $110 so when I get it installed I'll be ready for winter but first I need a floor (it's dirt so far) I've collected a pile of old bricks from a house being torn down so it will be a brick floor can't beat free. Anyway I hope to get tech advice here and maybe get leads that will save money. That's probably more than anyone wanted to know so I'll stop now.

welcome to the forum roach. what you are doing sounds great. we all pay these outlandish utility bills and there is ways to switch to alternative energy on some things that are very inexpensive. every little bit helps. glad to have you with us and cannot wait to here more
