This century the world has became aware of the need for cleaner energy. Seemingly, there is new technology everyday on alternative energy. The hideous BP oil spill has received the spotlight and the news media has reported the failures and the progress to the world. It is a newsworthy event that affects the very fabric of our public health.

The oil spill is a visual display of how our environment is affected by callous, greedy, big business. Their effort to make large sums of money while not applying the surest, most reliable equipment, has given the world a first handed, detailed visual exploit of the magnitude that a manmade environmental disaster creates.

We must understand that the time for clean energy is now. It is time for the world to focus upon every resource to move our energy needs away from fossil fuels.
