Google signs 20-year deal with Iowa wind farm
Google Inc. has signed a 20-year contract to buy power from an Iowa wind farm as part of the Internet search leader's effort to cut the pollution caused by its rising demand for energy.

Google seeks to trade wholesale power in U.S.

Google Inc has asked the main U.S. energy regulator for authority to trade electricity in the wholesale market, which will make it easier for the Internet search giant to obtain renewable energy to power its huge data centres as part of its green initiative.
