Default Wisconsin Energy Independence Fund

Governor Doyle is launching a $150 million, ten-year grant and loan program to make Wisconsin a leader in renewable energy. The program will support cutting-edge research and development, the manufacture and production of new clean energy products, and ways to make clean energy use widespread and cost-effective. By strategically investing in the development and deployment of clean energy technologies, Wisconsin can leverage its considerable natural resources and manufacturing expertise to support new businesses, strengthen the economy, and move us toward energy independence.

Eligibility Requirements

Please direct project specific or eligibility questions to David Jenkins (608-264-7651) at the Wisconsin Office of Energy Independence.

Read Governor Doyle's plan for energy independence: Clean Energy Wisconsin.

Default Focus on Energy - Business & Marketing Grant

Wisconsin Focus on Energy offers several grant programs to support the development of renewable energy projects and industry infrastructure. Individual grant programs are intended to offer support in specific areas of the renewable energy market to help implement projects that otherwise would not be completed, or to complete projects sooner than scheduled. The Business & Marketing Grants provide financial support for developing business skills and marketing materials for organizations and businesses that provide renewable-energy services. Grant recipients and projects must be located in a participating utility's service territory. The program website above contains an interactive tool to assist people in determining their eligibility for different programs.

Focus on Energy works with eligible Wisconsin residents and businesses to install cost effective energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Focus information, resources and financial incentives help to implement projects that otherwise would not be completed, or to complete projects sooner than scheduled.
